HOW TO APPEAL FOR R350 SASSA GRANT

Has your application for the R350 grant been denied and you really need the grant? You still have a second chance by appealing! Here's how a SASSA grant appeal for SASSA's Special Relief of Distress grant works.

SASSA gives applicants another go at the R350 grant if their applications was denied for a reason that they believe is not fair. This is done through an appeal process.

You can only lodge your SASSA grant appeal within 30 days of seeing your declined status. It's also important to remember that a SASSA R350 grant appeal must be lodged for every month that the grant is declined.

Click on the yellow bar and Fill in the required fields

If my SASSA grant relief appeal was successful, how will I know?
Should your SASSA grant appeal have been successful, you will receive an SMS notifying you and you will also be given instructions on what to do next.

It's important to not that there is no set timeframe for when your appeal will be approved.

When will my grant payment come through?
Payments will be made for the month you originally applied, as long as you qualify. SASSA has said that payments are still in progress.

There is no fixed payment date for the special R350 SRD grant.

SASSA explained, "The payment may not necessarily be a double payment/lump sum or on the same day. It can be split over days or weeks".
